Die Casting Mold Frame
Heavier plate sets and wear-resistant construction — built for the thermal cycle a die casting die puts a frame through.
A die casting die is a harder environment than an injection mold: higher melt temperatures, a fast thermal cycle, and a frame that expands and contracts thousands of times. The construction has to account for that, not just the cavity.
We build die casting mold frames as heavier plate sets, with wear-resistant construction where the melt and the moving parts work hardest, and hardened options where the application calls for it.
The grade choice matters more here than on a plastic base. Tell us the alloy, the casting weight and the cycle rate, and we will confirm a construction that survives it — before the quotation, not after the first repair.
Frames are machined to the same standard as the rest of the line: ±0.02 mm on fitting and ground features, CMM inspection before packing, and packing that survives container loading.
