Die Set (Hardware)

Hardware tooling lives and dies by the guide system. A press die set that guides cleanly stamps cleanly; one that guides loosely wears the punch and the die in proportion to how many strokes it has taken.

We supply press die sets and hardware mold bases as matched plate pairs with guide posts, bored to position so the upper and lower shoes track each other over the life of the tool.

Sizes follow your drawing rather than a catalogue. Plate pairs are kept together as a set, and the guide-post bores are held to the same ±0.02 mm class as the rest of our work.

If the tool runs at high stroke rates or with an abrasive strip, say so — the construction and the guide specification change with the duty, and it is cheaper to build it in than to repair it later.
