Standard Plastic Mold Base
Standard sizes, machined in our own shop, shipped in seven days — the workhorse of the line.
A standard plastic mold base is the fastest way to get a mold into production: the plate sizes, plate thicknesses and the cavity layout follow a pattern we already machine every week, so nothing has to be engineered from scratch.
We build pin-point gate, three-plate and side-gate systems to standard sizes, in the grades buyers normally specify — S50C (1.1730) for structural plates, P20 (1.2311 / 1.2312) as the pre-hardened default, and 718 / 718H where the mold is expected to run a lot of cycles.
Because the pattern is known, the tolerance and the inspection plan are known too: ±0.02 mm on fitting and ground features, working faces flat and parallel to 0.02 mm / 100 mm, and a coordinate measuring machine pass before the base is packed.
Minimum order is one set — a single base is a normal order here, not an exception. Lead time for most standard bases is seven days from order confirmation to shipment.
